Renowned as the biggest and best 'Alpine' ski and après ski resort in Norway, Hemsedal and neighbouring Solheisen have a snow record which few European resorts can match. Hemsedal is an ideal choice for all level of skiers and snowboarders, with a huge diversity of terrain and uncrowded slopes. Host to the 1994 Winter Olympics, Lillehammer enjoys a snow record that ensures a lengthy winter sports season. The main ski area is in Hafjell (approx. 20 mins. by ski bus) where many of the Olympic events took place. You can test yourself on the downhill course and there is a great range of runs for both beginners and intermediates. Lillehammer provides you with an enticing combination of a traditional Norwegian town and numerous exciting winter activities nearby. Situated in the heart of fjord country and surrounded by glaciers and mountains, Voss is well known for its unspoilt beauty. Skiing is a traditional part of life for the locals with everything from downhill slalom, telemark and snowboarding to cross-country skiing. Well known in the world of competition skiing, Voss has hosted many World Cup events.
